SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — Sunday marks the final day of the California State Fair.
“It’s truly a labor of love,” said California State Fair media director Darla Givens. “And to say that after a two-year pandemic break, we’re here, people are having a wonderful time. And you can see families are going out, arriving early and staying late.
Although no figures were available on Sunday, fair officials said they did quite well.
“I think it’s great,” Mike Lara said. “Getting people out, rather than confining them to their homes. It’s a good atmosphere for people to go and enjoy now.
The weather on Sunday was much warmer compared to the triple-digit temperatures that many fair attendees had to contend with. But most don’t care, given all the good stuff the fair has to offer.
There was lots of music to listen to, farm animals to pet, handmade leather crafts and even teeth whitening.
Many vendors hope to return next year. And although there weren’t as many vendors as in years past, the fair looks forward to the return of these, as well as new ones.
“Get out, nice weather,” said Neal Watts, a fair attendee. “Beautiful people. Lots of food. Go out and have fun for the last day.
