The Baylands Park course will feature top Division I talent and is one of the nation’s premier cross country competitions. Big West’s opponents who will face the `Runners are Hawai’i, Long Beach State, Cal Poly, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UC San Diego. Other notable opponents are Sacramento State, San Jose State, California, Fresno State, USC, Nevada, and Santa Clara.
The CSUB women last raced two weeks ago at the Waves Invitational, where Helene Valentine finished 6e overall and was just seconds off the CSUB Top 10 list.
“Helena has been running strong all season and has adapted to American cross country and is ready for a breakthrough performance,” said the director of athletics, cross country. Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. “She narrowly missed CSUB’s all-time lists in her first two outings.”
“Also training well, Neyda Martinez, Ysabel Gamonand Alicia Muralles have worked well together and are getting in shape.” Ariyana Guzman and Julia Gamino will also be traveling with the team this week.
Live results will be published here after the race. Stay up to date with CSUB Women’s Cross Country by following us on Twitter and instagram.
