They probably didn’t want you to uninstall Cortana. I basically try out every method by myself and publish it only when it works.

I was able to quickly and successfully remove Cortana from my system.
What bothers me is that Microsoft support incorrectly claimed that I could not remove it using the GUI because it was installed and furthermore did nothing to help me remove it.
I’m not sure how you came across the powershell solution to removing Cortana, but I am glad you did and shared it!
