SCCM 1806 Hotfix Rollup KB4462978 – Fixes and Installation
If you running Configuration Manager version 1806, then there is an update waiting in the console. I am talking update rollup for System Center Configuration Manager current branch, version 1806. If you have got secondary sites, install this update on a primary site first. And then for secondary sites, the update must be installed manually. As per Microsoft, This update replaces updates KB4346645 or KB4459354 depending on the different first wave version. In addition, this update also covers the previous hotfix 4465865.

SCCM 1806 Hotfix Rollup KB4462978 – Installation
- Launch Configuration Manager console.
- Click Administration > Overview > Updates and Servicing.
- Right click Configuration Manager 1806 Hotfix Rollup (KB4462978).
- Click Install Update Pack.
Accept the license terms and click Next.
Click Next on Summary and Progress page. On the completion page, click Close.
Monitor the hotfix rollup installation in Monitoring > Updates and Servicing Status.
Refresh the console once and you get a box to upgrade SCCM console. The console version will be upgraded from 5.1806.1074.1500 to 5.1806.1074.1507. Click OK to begin the upgrade.
Let’s check console version post installing the hotfix rollup KB4462978.

- Console Version – 5.1806.1074.1507
- Site Version – 5.0.8692.1000
Note – There is no change in the build and site version number.
I need this update (KB4465865) to patch the WSUS express cab / airgap issue. It is not offered when i am on 1806 and i updated the only update available (KB4462978). It didnt fix the problem. Now i have upgraded to SCCM 1810 and the WSUS issue still persist. What can i do?

I have an issue with this update, the status in the updates and servicing page in the console says “installed” however, the post installation steps are failing on copying the latest client with 0x80070005 (Access Denied) – any tips for this issue?
